Culture and meeting center
The subject of the restricted competition for architects is a municipal cultural and meeting center in Hamburg-Bergedorf. The Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg, represented by the Bergedorf District Office, intends to build a municipal cultural and meeting center in cooperation with the Körber Foundation on a peninsula surrounded by water between the lock ditch and the ship area.
Distinctive island location
The goal of the new building is to bundle public meeting offers and non-commercial services at this location in the sense of a community center and replace the existing Lichtwarkhaus.
