Collective Diversity
An urban quarter with apartments of various types is being built on a site with historic buildings near the Havel River. The project is being carried out using the Lean IPD method.
Living on the Havel riverside
The Hafelufer Quarter is located in the immediate vicinity of the waterfront in Berlin-Spandau and offers a mix of various forms of living with more than 1,800 apartments of the most diverse types in new buildings and listed buildings designed by Hans Hertlein. Shared spaces indoors and outdoors interweave the multifaceted urban quarter and give it its urban character.
New urban quarter
By 2024, 16 new residential buildings of various types and sizes will be built. In addition, four unique, listed buildings are being renovated and converted. In addition to the large number of residential units, the neighbourhood includes social facilities, sports and leisure facilities, and a daycare center. Another focus is the integration of nature and the development of green spaces on the banks of the Havel. The project was certified gold by the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB) for the Green Living concept.
