House in Othmarschen

Flooded with light

In the green Othmarschen district, in the west of the city of Hamburg, a new residential building is being constructed not far from the Elbe River, taking into account the surrounding open building structure and a memorable tree population.
Raw concrete and light clinker

The house is designed for a family that values open sequences of rooms and plenty of natural light. Large-format window elements and simple geometrical shapes, along with the use of raw concrete, light clinker and a roof made of slate, give the house its modest and clear stature.
