Treskow courtyards Berlin

Revitalization

For more than 18 years, the former student dormitories of the University of Applied Sciences in the Karlshorst district of Berlin lay fallow before the nearly 2.7-hectare site on Treskowallee was given a new lease of life. After the construction works have began on the Treskowhöfe residential quarter in 2013, it was completed in 2015 and, in addition to its intergenerational character, reflects the social diversity of the neighborhood.

Building owner award

A total of 414 rental apartments were built for HOWOGE. An utilization concept was implemented that includes the integration of age-appropriate apartments, senior living communities, a daycare center for around 100 children and retail offerings in the neighborhood. The apartments in the Treskowhöfe quarter vary between one and four rooms. With the Treskowhöfe quarter, HOWOGE Housing Association mbH received the Building Owner Award (Bauherrenpreis) 2016.
